Mindanao State University at Naawan continues to strengthen its commitment to modernization and digital transformation through specialized training on advanced aerial and underwater drone technologies. From July 6–8, 2026, MSU at Naawan personnel underwent hands-on training on the DJI Mavic 3M Aerial Drone, equipping participants with essential skills in aerial mapping, environmental monitoring, data collection, and research documentation. This was followed by training on the FiFish V6 EXPERT Underwater Drone from July 9–10, 2026, introducing participants to remotely operated underwater technology designed for marine observation, underwater assessment, documentation, and scientific exploration.

These training activities represent an important step toward integrating innovative digital tools into the University’s research, instruction, extension, and environmental monitoring initiatives. By investing in the skills of its personnel and adopting emerging technologies, MSU at Naawan continues to expand its capacity to address present and future challenges in marine science, fisheries, coastal resource management, and other related fields.
