Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Strategic Planning and Initiatives
Overview
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Planning and Initiatives (OVCSPI) was created to spearhead the university’s strategic growth and institutional advancement. It serves as the central planning and coordination arm of MSU at Naawan to ensure that institutional goals are harmonized with both national development priorities and global sustainability agendas. By integrating strategic planning, policy development, quality assurance, and performance monitoring, the Office enables the university to adapt to emerging challenges while maximizing opportunities for growth and innovation.
OVCSPI upholds transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement as key drivers of institutional progress. It prioritizes data-informed decision-making and standardized planning processes to ensure coherence, predictability, and shared accountability across all units. To effectively fulfil its mandate, the OVCSPI oversees three offices that work collectively to advance the university’s strategic direction and institutional objectives, namely the:
- Office of Institutional Planning and Development (OIPD)
- Office of Quality Assurance and Management System (OQAMS)
- Office of Monitoring and Evaluation (OME)
