Mission:

The Crustacean Research and Innovation Center commits to advancing the conservation and productivity of crustacean species through interdisciplinary research, scientific intervention, and capacity building. Anchored in ecological integrity and socio-economic relevance, the center fosters innovation in hatchery technology, disease management, climate adaptation, and value chain development.

 
Objectives:
  • Conduct targeted research on crustacean genetics, nutrition, health, and ecology to improve survival, growth, and reproductive performance.

  • Develop and disseminate best practices for hatchery, nursery, and grow-out operations, including climate-resilient and low-impact systems.

  • Establish a crustacean biodiversity database and monitoring framework to support conservation and stock enhancement.

  • Deliver training programs, digital modules, and field-based capacity building for students, farmers, and local government units.

  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder partnerships to integrate crustacean science into policy, education, and enterprise development.
