The Recognition guest speaker this year was Atty. Jasmin B. Abrea, an alumna of MSUN-IDS.

Assoc. Prof. Divinagracia, MSUN-IDS Principal, delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the importance of the students’ dreams and aspirations in driving their academic efforts. The awarding ceremony followed, honoring several awardees for academic excellence, academic achievement, virtuous, service, and special recognition across Grades 7 to 12.

Reflecting on her experiences with former teachers from MSUN-IDS, Atty. Abrea shared valuable life lessons to inspire the awardees.

“Set goals and stay focused; never let your social status hinder your academic performance and efficiency; remember to find joy in learning; and always maintain a strong connection with prayer,” advised Atty. Abrea.

The MUD and Tabodagat Dance Troupe performed before Asst. Prof. Eden Rose N. Macalong echoed Atty. Abrea’s message and further emphasized the significance of enjoying the learning process, maintaining focus, and fostering a prayerful mindset.

Assoc. Prof. Divinagracia presented 122 Grade 10 completers and 79 Grade 12 – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand graduates, who were then confirmed by Chancellor Dr. Roa.

Inspired by the lyrics, the completers and graduates joyfully sang and danced to the rhythm of the famous K-pop idol Jungkook’s “Dreamers” song.

Afterwards, an alumnus of MSUN-IDS Batch 2012, Dr. Aaron Paolo C. Roa, formally introduced by Ms. Fe Z. Baang, left an inspiring message to this year’s completers and graduates.

“I urge you to aspire for great things, have a dream, and chase it. Don’t be afraid to fail. Keep in mind that if you do fail, there is still a chance to try again,” expressed Dr. Roa.

The event also included the conferring of awards to honor rolls, followed by Ed Bryan Quilab, the Class Valedictorian, sharing his personal journey and imparting valuable life lessons.

“We dream because reality feels challenging,” stated Quilab.

He continued, “Be flexible; be resilient; acknowledge continual learning and progress; learn to collaborate; take care of yourself; and prioritize God in all our actions.”

Congratulations, MSUN-IDS completers and graduates! May you continue to soar high like a phoenix.
