MSU at Naawan Participates in Global Sustainable Development Congress 2026 in Jakarta

After months of consolidating data, documenting initiatives, and reflecting on how its programs contribute to people, communities, and the environment, Mindanao State University at Naawan brings its sustainability journey to a broader global platform through its participation in the fifth annual Global Sustainable Development Congress, held on June 22–25, 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The University is represented by Chancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa; Dr. Rey Capangpangan, Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Global Engagement; Dr. Anabelle Dece Espadero, Director for Research and Publication Services; and Dr. Aida Perpetua, Director for Extension Services.
The congress brings together research, business, government, and higher education sectors to accelerate sustainable transformation. Through high-level summits, interactive workshops, discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions, the event connects industry, policy, and universities to help translate ambition into action and advance sustainable development worldwide.

A significant part of this year’s congress is the exclusive live preview of THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, a global performance table that assesses universities based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
MSU at Naawan submitted its application for the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings in November 2025. For the University, joining the ratings is not simply about prestige or recognition. It is a way to reaffirm and validate the impact of its initiatives in research, education, extension, innovation, environmental stewardship, and community development.
Through this participation, MSU at Naawan continues to bring forward a clear message: sustainability is not only measured by rankings, but by the real changes created through programs that serve communities, protect the environment, and respond to local and global development needs.
