On July 22, 2026, the MSUN Clean Ocean Extension Project, an initiative of the College of Fisheries and Marine Sciences led by Ms. Ana Winnielyn J. Galeos, proudly marked another milestone in the University’s sustainability journey with the successful turnover of its Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

Made possible by the generous support of the Coca-Cola Foundation and in partnership with Save Philippine Seas, the facility will strengthen the University’s waste management system by promoting proper waste segregation, resource recovery, recycling, and upcycling, further supporting the University’s ongoing sustainability initiatives.

The celebration began with an opening program at the Fisheries Building, followed by the official turnover ceremony at Simanoc, Linangkayan, Naawan, where the facility was formally handed over.
