Towards a Resilient Campus: MSUN conducts fire and earthquake drill

On September 24, 2025, the Office of the Campus Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (OCDRRM) of the Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN), under the leadership of OCDRRM Coordinator Mr. Jay Philmore B. Ansale, successfully carried out a comprehensive Fire Safety Drill and Earthquake Drill within the campus. The activity brought together faculty, staff, and students, who actively participated in the training sessions focused on proper evacuation procedures, fire prevention and control, and earthquake response protocols.  Moreover, these hands-on exercises not only enhanced awareness but also equipped the MSUN community with the practical skills needed to respond effectively during emergencies. Through this initiative, MSUN reaffirms its strong commitment to fostering a safe, disaster-prepared, and resilient campus environment for all.

OCDRRM leads basic life support and first aid training; installs Naawan Emergency GeoPindot app

On September 23, 2025, the Office of the Campus Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (OCDRRM) of MSU at Naawan, led by OCDRRM Coordinator Mr. Jay Philmore B. Ansale, successfully held a Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training alongside the installation of the Naawan Emergency GeoPindot App at the Function House, MSU at Naawan. We were privileged to learn from our invited resource speakers Mr. Alsymrien L. Fabrigas and Mr. Marlon J. Tenerife from the MDRRMO Naawan, Administration and Training Section, Misamis Oriental, who shared their valuable knowledge and guided participants in hands-on demonstrations of life-saving techniques. The activity was actively participated by faculty, staff, and students, underscoring the MSU at Naawan community’s shared commitment to safety, preparedness, and resilience.  Furthermore, with the integration of the Naawan Emergency GeoPindot App, participants are now empowered not only with essential first aid and BLS skills but also with an innovative tool for real-time emergency response.
