๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ | In accordance with the celebration of International Womenโs Month, the Mindanao State University at Naawan successfully held its “๐๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ” highlighting Republic Act No. 11313, also known as the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐ญ, and Republic Act No. 9262, also known as the ๐๐ง๐ญ๐ข-๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ญ on ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐.

PSSgt. Julie Faye Condeza, the PNP Womenโs Desk Officer in Charge at Naawan Police Station, served as a resource speaker and delivered a talk on the given topics. The goal of the said activity is to raise awareness about gender-based violence, a strong support system, and institutional support networks.

The said activity was participated in by student leaders from various colleges and society organizations in the university. It ended with the awarding of certificates and closing remarks rendered by Prof. Sylvia Labial, Director of the Office of Student Services and Development.

Furthermore, the event was organized by the Mindanao State University at Naawan Gender and Development Office, headed by Prof. Desheree Judena G. Preciado, MSUN GAD Office Coordinator, in collaboration with the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD), the MSUN Supreme Student Council (MSUN-SSC), the MSUN Cultural Sports and Development Office, and Naawan Police Station.

Moreover, the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration marks a juncture in the advancement of women’s rights as it launches a new recurring theme from this year to 2028: WE for gender equality and inclusive society.
