Officially reinforcing their commitment to community literacy, Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) and the Radya Al Salam Foundation, Inc. (RASFI) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on February 20, 2026. The signing was led by MSUN Chancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa and RASFI Executive Director Nonita C. Anub.
The partnership institutionalizes a collaborative extension initiative aimed at enhancing reading outcomes in underserved communities. Key components of the program include equipping tutors and teachers with effective instructional strategies, developing culturally responsive reading materials, conducting learner assessments, and providing mentoring with continuous program monitoring.
Under this agreement, MSUN contributes its academic expertise, while RASFI leverages its grassroots network of volunteers, establishing a bridge between research-based pedagogy and community practice.
This collaboration reflects a shared vision of empowering learners through literacy and sustaining educational support programs that address the real needs of local communities.
