Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services
Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services
The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services (OVCSAS) was created under BOR Resolution No. 283, series of 2024 which was anchored on the CHED Memorandum Order No. 09 s. 2013 – Enhanced Policies and Guidelines on Student Affairs and Services. The office intends to be a one stop office that will address students’ concerns.
The university implements a comprehensive array of programs and services that extend beyond academic instruction, all designed to enrich the overall student experience. These initiatives are thoughtfully structured to support the holistic development of students—nurturing not only their intellectual capabilities but also their emotional well-being, social skills, and ethical values. Central to these efforts is the goal of shaping well-rounded individuals who are equipped to actively participate in nation-building and contribute meaningfully to the progress of their communities. By fostering an environment that promotes personal growth, civic responsibility, and social engagement, these student-centered programs uphold the values of leadership, accountability, and social awareness, preparing students to meet the evolving demands of society.
The office delivers student-centered services through three key offices: the office of Student Welfare (OSW), the office of Student Development (OSD) and the office of Institutional Student Programs and Services (OSIPS). The OSW is committed to protecting and promoting the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of students by providing counseling services, health and wellness programs, and support mechanisms that ensure a safe and supportive campus environment. The OSD focused on character formation and skill enhancement, these programs provide leadership training, values education, and support for co-curricular and extracurricular activities, including recognized student organizations. The OSIPS is designed to foster active student involvement in institutional initiatives and support national development goals. Its programs include scholarship and financial assistance services, student discipline and conduct systems, as well as community engagement and outreach activities.
