Faculty-researchers from the College of Education and Social Sciences (CESS) and the MSU at Naawan-Integrated Development School (MSUN-IDS) participated in the 15th Asian Conference on Education (ACE2024) held from November 25 to 29, 2024, at the Toshi Center in Tokyo, Japan. Organized in partnership with the IAFOR Research Centre at the Osaka School of International Public Policy (OSIPP) of Osaka University, the event brought together academics and scholars from around the world to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and promote advancements in education. Three MSUN researchers presented their groundbreaking studies during the conference. Mr. Leemarc C. Alia of CESS shared his research titled “Correlating Biophysics Anxiety and Performance Among Biology Students,” which explored the link between student anxiety in biophysics and academic outcomes. His work, co-authored with faculty from Central Mindanao University and Cebu Normal University, highlighted a critical aspect of student performance in the sciences. Meanwhile, Ms. Baby Eve N. Asequia, also from CESS, presented her study on the “Development and Evaluation of a Re-Sequenced Intervention Module (RIM).” This collaborative effort with colleagues from her college focused on enhancing instructional strategies to improve learning outcomes. From MSUN-IDS, Mr. Kevin Client B. Matutes discussed his research titled “Sleep Routine Among Grade 10 Learners in the Science Curriculum: Its Influence on Academic Performance in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.” This study, co-authored with MSUN-IDS students and faculty, examined the impact of sleep patterns on academic performance in science subjects. Participation in ACE2024 highlights MSUN’s commitment to academic excellence and global collaboration. The conference provided an excellent platform for MSUN researchers to share their work with an international audience, build networks, and explore potential partnerships across disciplines and borders. Their contributions not only showcased the university’s innovative approach to addressing challenges in education but also demonstrated its significant role in fostering research that benefits learners and educators alike. Congratulations to Mr. Alia, Ms. Asequia, and Mr. Matutes for their exemplary achievements and for representing MSUN on the global stage.
