In view of the implementation of the Samdhana EntrepDev Project, series of trainings will be conducted with the target partner beneficiaries who are members of the Balintad Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative (BFARMCO). This is to capacitate the organization and its members with the necessary skills and knowledge in developing and managing an agri-fishery-based enterprise. Training on tilapia farming for tilanggit production was conducted on November 8, 2022 in Brgy. Balintad, Manticao, Misamis Oriental. The objective of the training is to provide partner beneficiaries with the basic knowledge necessary for successful tilapia farming. Mr. Victor R. Navarro, RFP and Mr. Lyndon L. Roa, RFP who are both experts in tilapia culture from the Mindanao State University at Naawan provided series of lectures and exercises on site selection and pond preparation, stocking, pond maintenance, common diseases in tilapia, feeding, and nutrition. The activity was also supported and facilitated by the Local Government Unit of Manticao through the Municipal Agriculture Office represented by Mr. Arnold D. Dapanas and the Balintad Barangay Council represented by Councilor Dennis A. Magsalay.
