MSUN showcases significant milestones in several PCAARRD-GIA funded projects during DOST-PCAARRD M&E

On November 5, 2025, Mindanao State University at Naawan (MSUN) successfully hosted the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) activity conducted by the Marine Resources Research Division (MRRD) of DOST-PCAARRD for three ongoing PCAARRD-GIA funded projects:
- Enhancing Production of Sandfish (Holothuria scabra) through Pond Culture and Sea Pen Farming – led by Dr. Wilfredo H. Uy
- Piloting Sea Cucumber Fisheries Management through species-specific size regulation and sustainable trade in selected areas in Mindanao – led by Dr. Elgen M. Arriesgado
- Refinement and Pilot Testing of Technology for the White Teatfish (Holothuria fuscogilva) Hatchery for Sustainable Production and Adaptive Management – led by Dr. Dan M. Arriesgado
During the M&E presentation, project leaders highlighted key accomplishments, milestones, and ongoing efforts contributing to sustainable sea cucumber research and development in Mindanao.
The evaluators from DOST-PCAARRD commended the teams for their comprehensive presentations and notable progress in achieving their project goals.
