The Office of Gender and Development (OGD) as a mandated office in every government is mandated through RA 7845 or the General Appropriations Act of 1995 and is further strengthened by RA 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women. This office is necessary to address the gender issues and concerns in their respective sectors and constituents. Further, the Office of the Gender and Development systematizes MSUN’s goals toward gender mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, and gender equality.
