EXEMPTION FROM WORK AND CLASSES FOR MUSLIM EMPLOYEES AND STUDENTS ON JANUARY 16, 2026, IN OBSERVANCE OF LAILATUL ISRA WAL MI’RAJ

In accordance with MSU Office of the President Memorandum No. 003-OP, s. 2026, all Muslim employees and students of Mindanao State University at Naawan are hereby excused from work and classes on January 16, 2026, in observance of Lailatul Isra wal Mi’raj (the Nocturnal Journey and Ascension of Prophet Muhammad, S.A.W.).

All non-Muslim employees and students shall continue with their regular work and class schedules. Concerned offices are advised to make the necessary arrangements to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of academic and administrative services.

The declaration is made in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 1083, also known as the Code of Muslim Personal Laws of the Philippines, and acknowledges one of the most important events in Islamic history—the Nocturnal Journey and Ascension of Prophet Muhammad.
