BFP conducts Fire Safety Inspection

To ensure public safety, promote economic development through the prevention and suppression of all kinds of destructive fires, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) conducted a Fire Safety Inspection at Mindanao State University at Naawan on August 3, 2022.

SFO4 Ricky S. Butlay, OIC of Naawan Municipal Fire Marshall; FO3 Jolon S. Ratunil, Chief of the Fire Safety Enforcement Section; and FO1 Forchem Dave G. Picut, Fire Safety Inspector specifically checked on the buildings such as the Girls Dormitory, SMFT building, Mini Proccessing Plant, NESB, SGS building, MESC building, CSE 1 and 2 building, DIT building and the library.

The fire safety inspection ended successfully and the fire officers pointed out some areas to improve on in terms of the university fire safety. Chancellor Dr. Elnor C. Roa was thankful that the inspection has been made as the university is more aware now on the things that the university need to do to improve fire safety. She also ensured the bureau of the university’s compliance with the required codes and standards.

By the following week, the BFP will conduct fire safety training to MSU at Naawan employees to ensure that the university would know how to act safely, reduce the risk of injury or loss of life in the event of a blaze, and to prevent small fires from becoming big emergencies.  view gallery
